Yes, and we encourage it. Many Czech cities have sister-city partnerships from the 1990s that are mostly formal today. The Hub helps revive such relationships – we propose concrete cooperation formats (delegations, exchange programmes, joint projects), help with communication with the Japanese side, and handle the protocol and cultural layer.
Yes. Staff at the institution who want to engage with Working Groups or attend Hub events use member rates and benefits via the institutional membership. They don’t need to pay €200 personally for Individual Professional. For some universities, this alone is reason enough for institutional membership.
We help navigate funding schemes (Czech, Japanese, European, bilateral), identify suitable Japanese partners for the consortium, and advise on the Japanese-side framing of the proposal. We don’t write your grant – but we significantly increase the chance your proposal passes formal and substantive screening on the Japanese side.
