Where Your Czech-Japan Expertise Meets Opportunity

The Hub is a community of people who work in the Czech-Japan space – not those who just read about it. Three types of professionals, one shared place.

For Senior Managers

Your company knows who you are. Let yourself be known outside.

The Hub is where you become visible to the key stakeholders – ambassadors, the top management of major companies, and diplomats. Establish yourself as an experienced professional and become the first call for the next advisory role.

For Specialists

Our corporate members are looking for someone who understands both sides every month.

As a Hub member, you sit in our active expert database – not a passive list, but the first place the Business Desk turns when a question comes in.

For Community Builders

For people who want to work in the Czech-Japan space – not just network in it.

On projects, in Working Groups, on concrete topics. The room and the people are here.

Five things membership actually does

Instead of a feature list, we show what changes in your professional life. No "access to the newsletter" – outcomes that count.

01

Be visible where decisions are made

Enhanced profile in the member directory, visibility within the relevant Working Group, placement in the Business Desk referral pipeline. When a corporate member needs an expert in your domain, your name is first on the list.

02

Be in the room where senior people from both sides meet

Hub events as the natural environment where ambassadors, top execs of Czech firms in Japan, and key players from the Japanese side gather. Not a guaranteed meeting – but a recurring opportunity.

03

Become a recognised expert in your field

The role of expert advisor in one of the Working Groups (subject to chair approval) is institutionalised thought leadership in your domain. Your name appears in Market Watch, on the website, and in Hub materials.

04

Get the intelligence usually reserved for the top tier

Japan Market Watch (quarterly analytical review) and the newsletter come to you in the same scope as the President’s Circle. No "lite" content for lower tiers – the information is full.

05

Be part of what’s happening, not just watching

A Hub member can propose an event, speak at one, contribute to Market Watch, or organise a sector roundtable. Active engagement is welcomed and supported – we don’t wait for you to receive an invitation.

Working Groups are the heart of the expert community

Working Groups are the Hub’s executive platforms – not discussion circles. This is where market analyses happen, sector positions are shaped, and concrete business opportunities emerge. For experts, this is the best path to institutionalised thought leadership.

What Working Groups do
  • Sector analyses and Market Watch contributions
  • Shared market research for member companies
  • Roundtables and expert seminars
  • Targeted B2B matchmaking within the sector

+
The expert’s path
  • As an Individual Professional or Young Professional, you signal interest in a Working Group
  • After a short conversation with the group chair (subject to chair approval), you become an expert advisor
  • Your name and expertise appear in the group’s materials, in Market Watch, and on the CJH website
  • You attend regular meetings (4–6 per year) and contribute to deliverables

What the Hub Is Not

The Hub is not a social club. Great alternatives exist for classic Czech-Japanese social events, and we respect them. The Hub is for those who want to actively work in the Czech-Japan space – on projects, in Working Groups, on concrete topics. If you’re looking for networking as entertainment, you’ll find a better path elsewhere. If you’re looking for a platform to build, this is home.

Frequently Asked Questions

At registration or later, you indicate interest in a specific Working Group. The group chair schedules a short call (30 minutes) to discuss your expertise and possible contributions. After approval you become an expert advisor – your name appears in the group’s materials and you attend regular meetings. Subject to chair approval.

When a corporate member needs expertise (legal, tax, translation, consulting), the Business Desk reviews the member directory and proposes 2–3 suitable candidates based on expertise, language combinations, and availability. A referral isn’t a guarantee – but we open the door. Members active in Working Groups naturally get priority in referrals.

Yes – one guest at the member rate at all events except member-only formats. For some capacity-limited events we reserve the right to prioritise members.

Individual Professional and Young Professional are personal memberships. They are tied to you, not your employer. When you change jobs, the membership stays with you. For Individual Professionals in full-time employment, we sometimes recommend considering corporate membership instead – happy to discuss.

The Young Professional category is open to professionals under 30 (date of birth determines eligibility). The €50 fee applies to standard enrolment. Actively engaged members (speaker, organiser, Working Group contributor) can earn free membership through individual assessment – get in touch for details.
